great effort by everyone to present a history that should not be forgotten.
Great place to have a look at a bygone era of railway history as this was a major rail intersection , worth looking at the volunteers at the museum are very knowledgeable, but it is not clearly signposted.
So we followed the tourist signs to the round house site on a Monday, obeying all signs, to find it closed BUT that was OK. Drove around the car and bus park, stopped and got out, walked to the roundhouse windows for a peek., then another peek down the line to the turntable ( not crossing any tracks), then drove out, stopping for a snap of a Qube train NOW this is when it became very unpleasant in the arrival of a bloke in a little black car.Pulled up and said can I help you and before I could reply, not once, not twice but 3 times I was told to F - OFF in a very angry tone in front of my wife, to which we did. Reasons for the angry but controlled out burst are so unclear to us, thus our memories and stop off in Junee was short and very souredGreame W, Perth.
It great that you can board the trains and even sit on the seats.
There's not too many 'working' Roundhouses open to the public nowadays and The Junee Roundhouse boasts this feature and many museum pieces... some that also operate.Friendly staff and a very fair entry price well worth it
